What we collect when you request a quote or order a report, why we hold it, and what we do not do with it.

Effective 15 September 2026 · Zoning-Info, Inc.

What we collect

When you request a quote or place an order we collect the information you give us: your name, company, email address, phone number, and the property or jurisdiction the request concerns. When you hold a customer account we also hold your order history and the reports delivered against it.

Our servers record standard web request data — IP address, browser user agent, pages requested, and timestamps. We use it to operate and secure the site.

Why we hold it

To scope and price your request, to research and deliver the report, to correspond with you about the file, to invoice and collect payment, and to keep the record of work a professional practice is expected to keep.

Reports are retained after delivery. A zoning determination is frequently relied on years after it was written, and being able to produce the file we worked from is part of standing behind it.

What we do not do

We do not sell your information. We do not rent or trade contact lists. We do not disclose who ordered a report on a property to anyone other than you and the parties you name, and we do not use one customer's order as a lead for another.

We do not run advertising trackers or third-party marketing pixels on this site.

Who else sees it

Service providers who make the practice run: hosting and email infrastructure, payment processing, and professional advisors. They receive only what their function requires and are bound to handle it confidentially.

Requesting public records on your property necessarily discloses the property to the records office. It does not require us to disclose you, and we do not volunteer it.

Security

Access to customer data is restricted to the people who need it to do the work, transmissions to and from this site are encrypted, and credentials are held under least-privilege. No system is beyond compromise, and we will tell you promptly if one affecting your data occurs.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete what we are not required to retain. Write to the address below and we will respond.

You can opt out of non-transactional email at any time. Messages about a file you have open are not marketing and will continue while the file is open.
